Checking Network Status - LG player

Introduction

Use this article to check the network status of an LG player using an LG remote or the player buttons.

Instruction

1. Check LG Player Status With Remote:

   1. With an LG remote, press the gear icon to open the EZ Settings menu.

   2. Navigate to General.

   3. Go to Network and select it by pressing OK.

   4. The network status for Wired Connection (Ethernet) and Wi-Fi Connection will be displayed.

2. Check LG Player Status Without Remote:

   1. Locate the menu button on the player and press it.

   2. Press the down arrow to go to General.

   3. Press the right arrow; Language will be highlighted.

   4. Press the down arrow until Network is highlighted.

   5. Press the Set button to select Network.

   6. The screen will display the status of both Wired Connection (Ethernet) and Wi-Fi Connection.

Additional Tips & Best Practices

1. To use an LG remote to control the LG player, an IR sensor must be connected.

2. Alternate Way to Check Network Connection With LG Remote:

   1. Press the home button on the remote.

   2. Navigate to Network; it will indicate if the player is connected to the internet.

   3. Select Network to view the status of both Wired Connection (Ethernet) and Wi-Fi Connection.
